Rensselaer Land Trust has been awarded two grants through the New York State Conservation Partnership Program totaling $51,600. The grants are funded from the New York State Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) and are administered by the Land Trust Alliance in coordination with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. One grant, a Professional Development Grant, will enable Rensselaer Land Trust to hire an additional part time staff person to assist with development and communications and for an organizational assessment. The second grant will be used to improve public access to Rensselaer Land Trust's newest public preserve, The Robert Ingalls Preserve in Stephentown, New York. These grants will be used to grow Rensselaer Land Trust's community and landowner outreach, voluntary land conservation, and educational programs.
